NG Bailey

Case Study

A leadership story about the future

NG Bailey is the UK’s largest independent engineering, IT and Facilities Services business.  Successful and growing, the company has been at the forefront of creative change since 1921.

The Challenge

Building a strong employee brand and a modern, empowering culture are necessary steps to attracting and retaining the next generation of engineers who will create and build our future environments.   Key to the transformation is an inspiring leadership story and effective internal communications .

The Approach

Creating change in an established business requires careful stakeholder engagement.  So it was important that we took time to gather feedback and ideas from inside and outside the organisation.  Informed by insight, we were able to build and secure executive buy-in to our plans.

The Solution

We developed a strong leadership story for NG Bailey and a new internal communications strategy and plan, with the full support of the Board.  We also partnered with NG Bailey’s HR team to develop a new identity and tone of voice for all employee communications and channels, including re-writing and designing employee guides and policies.

Competitor benchmarking | Stakeholder research

Brandwalk have helped shape our internal communications strategy, along with our brand story and messaging. Rob and the team uncovered brand statements and visual directions that we could really buy into. They dealt with the complexity of our business and with their support, expertise and flair we have been able to take their initial concepts, developing them further, to deliver clear and concise messages to our employees. Thanks “team Brandwalk”
