Overview
Cadent is the UK’s largest gas network, delivering energy safely and securely to millions of homes and businesses every day.
Challenge
Cadent set about one of the biggest programs of customer engagement in its history to assess public support for its RIIO2 investment plan in 2020.
Not content with gathering a wealth of qualitative and quantitative research however, Cadent wanted to use the opportunity to make its brand more visible in the community.
Collaboration
Cadent’s approach to consultation around its investment program was exemplary, with best practice customer workshops, in-depth research and effective stakeholder engagement at all levels.
To raise the visibility of its consultation and its brand, Cadent partnered with Brandwalk to deliver community engagement events in six major UK cities including Birmingham, Liverpool, Leicester, Nottingham, Norwich, Manchester and London.
With a red Cadent branded double-decker bus as the centre-piece, the events were designed to draw in families and create a fun and relaxed atmosphere with interactive games and live music.
Whilst the kids played, mums and dads completed surveys and learned more about Cadent’s important work and support for the local area.
From initial concepts to the last customer survey and beyond, Brandwalk were there to project manage and execute the entire campaign over the summer months.
The results were outstanding, with Cadent demonstrating their commitment to community engagement and brand awareness in their RIIO2 business plan.
